Clermont is a city in Lake County, just west of Orlando. The city is residential in character and is centered around lodging, restaurants, and bars. Clermont is a quaint area that gives you a little peace from downtown Orlando's nonstop pace. Clermont’s distinct rolling hills, lakes, climate, and sports facilities have earned it a reputation as the training ground for triathletes, runners, and cyclists. One of the rare sightings of hills in Central Florida!
Things you'll love
Nature in Clermont speaks for itself. Horseback riding, camping, canoeing, and kayaking are some of the many activities you'll see locals partaking in, and nature enthusiasts can enjoy wildlife viewings at their best. Clermont is such a diverse community as well. You might have a newlywed couple that just moved into your left and a lovely retired couple to your right who have lived in the area since 1980.
Clermont also wouldn't be complete without the well-known landmark Citrus Tower or the Lakeridge Winery.

The Hills
Clermont, the land of the Hills! Clermont is one of the only areas in Florida with hills. Back in the day, farmers went nuts for the hills as they helped with farming their crops. You can still see some farming areas out in the area - they even have strawberry & blueberry picking. You can head on over to Southern Hill Farms to pick some sunflowers and varies fruit. Many locals love it for the athletic aspect. Needing some hills to work on your endurance? Clermont might be your only option! (Unless you use the incline on a treadmill - that could work too.)
